The Athens Information Technology is organizing the 4th InnoFORUM on "Green Economics: Innovation and Intellectual Property", to be held on May 25th, 2012, in AIT.
"Green Economy: Innovation and Intellectual Property"
In a time of intense economic crisis and climate change, there is a strong need for an economic model that promotes both sustainability and economic growth, while reducing the environmental risks. A model of low carbon footprint and resource efficiency, that will generate growth, create jobs and eliminate poverty through investment and the preservation of capital. An economic model that will safeguard the long-term survival of our planet.
The InnoFORUM attempts to explore the challenges and opportunities of green economy. Its aim is to investigate the role of innovation in "green economy", leading thereby to sustainable development, efficient resource management and environmental quality. It will also examine the legal issues and implications of intellectual property created by the implementation of such a "green" economic development model.
Participation in at the 4th InnoFORUM is free.

The 8th International Conference on the Environmental and Technical Implications of Construction with Alternative Materials will be held in Gothenburg (Sweden), 30 May to 1 June 2012
WASCON 2012 - towards effective, durable and sustainable production and use of alternative materials in construction
ISCOWA and SGI are pleased to invite you to WASCON 2012 – the 8th International Conference on the Environmental and Technical Implications of Construction with Alternative Materials that will be held in Gothenburg (Sweden), 30 May to 1 June 2012.
Since 1991, the WASCON conferences provide a forum for exchange of ideas and current research nationally and internationally on the use of waste, industrial by-products and other recycled materials in construction. WASCON 2012 will even more than the previous conferences give attention to ‘practical realizations’ and ‘practical benefit’ and we encourage not only scientists, but also users from industry and government to participate.
